sunday sauce.
In my house, sunday sauce is everyone's favorite meal. The result is absolutely delicious, but getting there takes all day. I am not exaggerating. Make sure you can set aside a whole day if you plan on making this one. There are a lot of steps involved, but I promise it's worth it in the end.
Ingredients:
Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), 1lb hot Italian sausage, 1lb meatballs, 1lb country style pork ribs, 1 onion finely chopped, 8 garlic cloves, sauce
Recipe:
-Put EVOO in a stock pot over medium low heat.
-Brown meat on all sides starting with the sausage, then meatballs, then ribs. Remove each after browned.
-Add onions and brown.
-Add garlic and brown.
-Add sauce and wait until slow simmer starts to add ribs.
-After an hour add the sausage.
-After another hour add the meatballs.
-Cook for at least another hour and eat with pasta or on its own.
*The longer this sits, the better it tastes!
