organization station.

The whole organization station.
On the top: chapsticks, hand sanitizer, eye primer, moisturizers, blush, bronzer, powder, foundations, mascara, concealer, liquid eyeliner, brushes, makeup remover, sunscreen, deodorant

Drawer 1:  Lip goodies including favorites like Beauty Rush lip gloss, Burt's Bees lip tint, Clinique lipstick/gloss duos, and Clinique chubby stick
Drawer 2:  Eyeshadow palettes...I'm a big fan of Urban Decay and Clinique eyeshadows.  The Naked palette is the best!
Drawer 3: Hair products.  I use a lot of Garnier Fructis frizz-fighting products.  My self-tanner is also in here.
Drawer 4:  The Remington line of hair stylers is absolutely amazing for my thick hair.
I had been trying unsuccessfully for years to find a way to organize my makeup in a way that would allow me to see everything.  Recently though, I found this storage cart that works perfectly for my purposes.  It holds absolutely everything.  Plus, it's great waking up in the morning and knowing exactly where each product is.  No more searching through three different makeup bags for me!

dressing the part.

Julie's Closet dress, Charlotte Russe skirt (underneath), Fusion shoes, Coach purse
I love getting dressed with a certain event in mind. Today's outfit was for a trip to a nice Italian restaurant with some family. This dress just felt right. I'm not sure whether it was the light material or the warm colors, but I was definitely feeling it.

up to my knees.

Ok, knee-high boots are awesome.  I don't know why it's taken me so long to realize this, but I have and now there is no turning back.  Wearing these today was great.  I felt tough and chic at the same time.  I also had the urge to find everything with silver embellishments in my closet and add it to my outfit...so I did.

spotted.

Members Only jacket, Twelve by Twelve cardigan, Abercrombie & Fitch jeans, Capelli New York wellies

I was not kidding when I said I loved leopard print.  Seriously, it's a love affair that I don't see ending any time soon.  These wellies were picked up as soon as my well-trained leopard print tracking eyes spotted them.  They are absolutely perfect for rainy days, which are happening a lot lately.  Where is the beautiful crisp fall weather that I love?

mini trendsetters.

From left: Mac Immortal Gold , OPI Just Spotted the Lizard, , Revlon Spanish Moss, Sally Hansen Crackle Antiqued Gold , OPI Servin' Up Sparkle, H&M rings
OPI Romeo & Juliet, OPI Bright Lights Big Color, Various sparkle nail polishes, H&M scarf
Nails are, in my opinion, a seriously underestimated part of the fashion experience. Instead of leaving them plain and expressionless, why not coat them in the season's latest color or pattern? Take for example, my oxblood nails above which pair perfectly with my new favorite scarf. Accent nails are also great and give a pop of color (or sparkle) to any basic manicure. There are so many possibilities at, and for, your fingertips.

print mixer.

Urban Behavior tank, Forever 21 skirt (modified), belt (borrowed from sister), (gifted) shoes

Mixing prints seems so much harder than it actually is.  For example, as I stood in front of my closet this morning, I was unsure whether polka dots could successfully mix with plaid.  When it came down to it though, there was nothing to fear.  As long as there is some color overlap (in this case gray and black) the pattern combination should be just fine.

watercolor stripes.

Forever 21 top, Hiatus skirt, Claire's earrings, (Unknown) sandals

This summer I was really into colorful, flowy tops.  I bought this one as the season was winding to a close, but I feel like it still has more life to it.  It is simply cut and will look great under some cozy fall cardigans.  I'm also loving the zipper pocket.

leopard beginnings.

Aeropostale jacket, Material Girl dress, American Eagle belt and necklaces

It's about time I provided an example of my love for leopard print.  Honestly, it is love.  I simply cannot get enough of it, which is why it shows up on a decent amount of the clothing and accessories in my closet.  At this point, it has basically turned into a neutral.  So, when I found this dress, I knew it was for me.  Definitely a good decision on my part.
